Record Cover Series & PROMO
This record cover series and press shot collection was created for SGH on Fred label, and was later featured in Creative Review and accompanied by an interview in Computer Arts. My goal was to translate the band’s sound, angular guitars colliding with synthetic tones, into visual musical landscapes that captured their experimental energy.
Insects – Single Cover. For this debut single, I wanted to create a strong sense of arrival and unease. A harsh geometric form cuts against synthetic yet oddly familiar backgrounds, mirroring the band’s angular, experimental sound while staying bold and contemporary.
Big Guns at Dawn – Album Cover. Here, I used abstract shapes to correspond with the band members’ personalities, placing them within a stylised landscape. The composition builds a sense of identity while keeping the design expansive and open-ended.
The Great Attractor – Album Cover. With this release, I explored the space between real and imaginary, two images in a kind of transitional flux, like surfing between radio stations. The design evokes the feeling of slipping into a multiverse, reflecting the band’s more expansive sound.
Press Shots – To tie the campaign together, I positioned the band members within sections of the same geometric shapes used in the cover art. This reinforced the visual language of the project and created a consistent identity across the album, singles, and promotional material.
