I was commissioned to design and build three custom exhibition display cases for Sincerely Louise, a contemporary knitting company. The brief was simple: create a solution that was practical to transport, quick to assemble, and visually striking once in place. Two display types were developed, one for showcasing stacks of wool and another for presenting knit card patterns. Both designs transform from compact transport cases into elegant, functional displays with minimal effort.
The knit card display shelves were built to be strong yet portable. Hollow outer frames reduce weight while allowing the aluminium legs to slide seamlessly into place.
Routered edges ensure the frames interlock securely when closed, while discreet hinges maintain a clean aesthetic.
The wool display case cover folds open to reveal a pegboard surface, creating both a presentation shelf and a generous display area for products. Strong right-angle construction ensures stability and durability in use.
The display cases opened – The displays feature extendable aluminium legs, adjustable feet, and lockable wheels, ensuring stability on any surface. The result is a modular, durable, and visually cohesive set that combines craftsmanship with efficiency, allowing Louise to set up her space with confidence and ease.
