POSTER DESIGN
I art-directed a special edition magazine for Total Film titled 80’s Movies. It was a fun project, using iconic film imagery to craft dynamic, engaging layouts that celebrate the energy and spirit of the decade.
Cover Design – A montage of iconic 80’s film imagery, blending retro elements with a modern aesthetic to capture the spirit of the decade.
Robocop Spread – I made Robocop the dominant element on the page, drawing the eye in and anchoring the layout.
American Werewolf Spread – The main image’s growl was used to push the headline towards the center, creating movement and tension across the spread.
Gremlins Spread – The main image of the lead character pointing subtly directs the eye toward the Gremlin in the bottom left, while the text size and placement guide the reader to the beginning of the body copy.
Masters of Illusion Spread – The animators on the left side of the page pull the reader into the spread, guiding attention through the layout.
Slash Happy Spread – The axe is used as a visual device to lead the eye across the spread, adding drama and focus.
